La Facultad de Veterinaria de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid está re-acreditada por la EAEVE (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education). La última evaluación tuvo lugar en marzo de 2024.

Las enseñanzas de Veterinaria dentro de la UE están regidas por las Directivas Comunitarias 78/1027/EEC y 2005/36/EC, modificadas por la Directiva 2013/55/UE, en las que se establecen los contenidos mínimos obligatorios que deben incluir los estudios de Veterinaria para poder ser reconocidos a nivel europeo. Para garantizar el cumplimiento de los criterios establecidos en las mencionadas Directivas y asegurar así que el nivel de los estudios de Veterinaria sea de calidad comparable en los distintos países europeos, la UE creó también en 1978 el Comité Asesor para los Estudios de Veterinaria (Advisory Committee for Veterinary Training, ACVT, decisión Comunitaria 78/1028 EEC). Este ACVT ha ido actualizando los requisitos básicos para las enseñanzas de Veterinaria, encomendando a la EAEVE la responsabilidad de desarrollar y llevar a cabo un método de evaluación que garantice su cumplimiento en los países miembros de la UE (más información sobre EAEVE en: www.eaeve.org).

Actualmente, la EAEVE ha sido acreditada por ENQA (The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) y está registrada en el EQAR (The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education), lo que significa que han demostrado su cumplimiento sustancial de los Criterios y Directrices para la Garantía de Calidad en el EEES (ESG).

Nuestra Facultad fue evaluada y aprobada por la EAEVE en 1998, siendo posteriormente visitada y evaluada de nuevo en diciembre de 2005, y acreditada en septiembre de 2017 y en mayo de 2024, conforme a los estándares más modernos y exigentes. Pasando positivamente todas estas evaluaciones, tiene en la actualidad el estatus de acreditada. Cumpliendo con la normativa de la EAEVE, esta acreditación tiene que ser revalidada cada 7 años.

Figurar entre la lista de Facultades de Veterinaria aprobadas por la EAEVE significa que las enseñanzas impartidas en nuestro centro cumplen con los criterios de calidad establecidos por dicha asociación y por el Comité de Educación de la UE. La lista de Facultades acreditadas puede consultarse en la página web de la EAEVE. Esta certificación europea de calidad es un signo de prestigio y excelencia para nuestra Facultad y Universidad, y para sus graduados.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid is re-accredited by the EAEVE (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education). The last evaluation took place in March 2024.

Veterinary education within the EU is governed by Community Directives 78/1027/EEC and 2005/36/EC, as amended by Directive 2013/55/EU, which establish the minimum compulsory contents that veterinary studies must include in order to be recognised at European level. In order to guarantee compliance with the criteria set out in these Directives and thus ensure that the standard of veterinary studies is of comparable quality in the various European countries, the EU also created the Advisory Committee for Veterinary Training (ACVT, Community Decision 78/1028 EEC) in 1978. This ACVT has been updating the basic requirements for veterinary education, giving the EAEVE the responsibility to develop and carry out an evaluation method to ensure compliance in the EU member countries (more information about EAEVE at: www.eaeve.org).

Currently, EAEVE has been accredited by ENQA (The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and is registered in EQAR (The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education), which means that they have demonstrated their substantial compliance with the Criteria and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the EHEA (ESG).

Our Faculty was assessed and approved by the EAEVE in 1998, subsequently visited and assessed again in December 2005, and accredited in September 2017 and May 2024, according to the most modern and demanding standards. Having passed all these evaluations with flying colours, it now has accredited status. In compliance with EAEVE regulations, this accreditation has to be revalidated every 7 years.

Being on the list of veterinary schools approved by EAEVE means that the courses taught at our school meet the quality criteria set by EAEVE and the EU Education Committee. The list of accredited schools can be found on the EAEVE website. This European quality certification is a sign of prestige and excellence for our Faculty and University, and for its graduates.
